About Teams Squared:We are a team augmentation company dedicated to connecting exceptional remote talent with global [link removed] Description:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Employment Lawyer with at least 5 years of experience advising on employment and labor law matters. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in employment contracts, workplace compliance, dispute resolution, and advising on HR-related legal concerns. While experience with Australian employment law is a bonus, it is not required. This role is ideal for a globally experienced employment lawyer comfortable working remotely and across different legal [link removed]:
  • Advise client companies on employment-related matters such as hiring, terminations, disciplinary processes, workplace policies, and internal HR procedures.
  • Draft, review, and revise employment contracts, policies, and compliance documentation.
  • Support clients in resolving workplace disputes, including mediations, internal investigations, and formal legal proceedings where applicable.
  • Provide timely, business-focused legal advice across diverse employment law jurisdictions, based on the client’s location and applicable law.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on key developments in employment law in common law jurisdictions (e.g., UK, Canada, US, Australia preferred).
  • Collaborate with HR professionals, legal departments, and business leaders in client organizations.
  • Work independently and communicate clearly in a remote legal services environment.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Law and admission to practice in at least one common law jurisdiction (e.g., UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, US, South Africa).

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in employment/labor law practice.

  • Demonstrated expertise in employment contract drafting, compliance, and employment dispute management.

  • Familiarity with global or cross-border employment law is highly desirable.

  • Strong communication, research, and legal drafting skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities in a remote working environment.

  • Experience with legal tech tools or document management systems is a plus
