Senior Database Engineer

Role Overview

Join ServiceNow's SWAT team to ensure production stability of customer applications and infrastructure services. As a Senior Database Engineer, you will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting infrastructure and learning the ServiceNow platform from end to end.

What You Will Do

Support infrastructure, troubleshoot production database issues, develop observability and automation, and influence infrastructure decisions. Mentor and collaborate with engineers across operations, support, and development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting or testing large scale web-based distributed applications
• 5+ years of experience on multiple relational databases (especially on Postgres database)
• 5+ years of hands-on experience working on a SaaS, PaaS, or Cloud Infrastructure product/solution
• Unix skills: including development, navigation, file manipulation, permissions, searching/finding files and text contents, and administrative actions
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an aptitude for learning new technologies
