Job description

Junior to Mid-Level Software Engineer — AI First, Full Stack
Custom AI Solutions | Remote (Brazil) | Contract Engagement

About the Role We are looking for a junior-to-mid level Software Engineer to engage with our engineering team as a dedicated contributor on VoxaCor™ and BridgeNode™. You will collaborate with our senior engineering team building features, fixing bugs, and running quality assurance across the platform.

This is a real engineering role — not an internship, not a ticket-taker. You will be working on production AI systems from day one. We're looking for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience building AI-powered products that are already in market.

This is a contract engagement. Applicants must have a registered legal entity in Brazil to contract through. This is a firm requirement and is not negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain full-stack features across web, voice, and SMS channels

  • Write clean, tested code against well-defined tickets and technical specs

  • Run QA across platform features — identify, document, and help resolve bugs

  • Assist in integrating LLM and voice pipeline components under senior guidance

  • Contribute to BridgeNode™ open-source framework and VoxaCor™ platform features

  • Participate in code review and grow your skills through direct collaboration with senior engineers

Tech Stack

  • Backend: [link removed], TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Docker

  • Frontend: React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, PWA

  • Voice & Telephony: Telnyx, Deepgram (STT/TTS), WebRTC, SIP

  • AI / LLM: Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Mastra orchestration

  • Infrastructure: Azure, GitHub Actions CI/CD, multi-tenant architecture

Compensation

  • Structure: Paid twice monthly in USD for work performed

  • On-Target Earnings: $24K–$36K USD - depending on experience

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated project work

  • Proficiency in TypeScript and React — you've built and shipped something real

  • Solid understanding of REST APIs and relational databases

  • Ability to read and understand existing codebases and contribute without breaking things

  • Professional English proficiency — written and verbal communication must be clear, accurate, and effective for async collaboration with a US-based team

  • Available to overlap with US Mountain/Pacific business hours

  • Registered legal entity in Brazil — required for contract engagement (not negotiable)

Strong Pluses

  • Any hands-on experience with LLM APIs or AI-powered features

  • Exposure to voice, telephony, or real-time streaming systems

  • Open-source contributions or a portfolio of personal/professional projects

  • Experience with Docker or cloud deployment (Azure, AWS, GCP)

  • Background in transportation, logistics, or dispatch software ecosystems

What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is serious about their craft. You don't wait to be told what to do — you read the ticket, ask the right questions, and get it done. You take feedback well and use it to level up. You're excited about AI because you've started digging into the stack and want to go deeper. This role will grow with you if you show up ready to work.

Not a Fit If

  • You have no professional or project-based coding experience to show

  • You're looking for a short-term or internship-style engagement

  • You don't have a registered Brazilian entity to contract through

  • You need extensive hand-holding to complete assigned work

  • Your written English is not strong enough for clear, professional async communication
