Job description
Role Overview
We need a sharp, reliable finance operator to own the integrity of our financial operations as we scale. This is a fractional engagement at 20–30 hours per week at $75/hr. The right person is a few years into their finance or accounting career, has worked in a startup or high-growth environment, and is ready to own something real without layers of bureaucracy in the way.
What You Will Do
Assess and implement tools to automate billing, expense tracking, and revenue reporting. Build repeatable, scalable financial processes for a multi-market, event-based business. Oversee event and enterprise client billing — invoice quickly, accurately, and completely.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Real-world impact at a company doing meaningful environmental work. Direct access to the leadership team — your work shows up in board decks and investor updates. Flexible, fractional structure that fits around your life or other clients.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations at a startup or high-growth company
- QuickBooks fluency required
- Comfortable with Ramp, Google Sheets/Excel, and tools like HubSpot, Asana, or Airtable
Benefits
- Potential for a small equity grant as the company grows
- Possibility of a path to full-time as we expand into new markets
