Interpreter (Russian–English) | Remote from Portugal

We’re seeking a highly skilled Interpreter fluent in Russian and English to join a remote team in Portugal. In this role, you’ll provide accurate and professional interpretation services across industries such as insurance, legal, and medical, ensuring clarity, neutrality, and compliance in sensitive conversations.

✨ Duties & Responsibilities

• Render correct concepts and meanings between Russian and English, maintaining tone, style, and clarity

• Uphold grammar and syntax rules in both languages

• Provide strict renditions of messages, including every detail of the conversation

• Follow customer instructions, manage call flow, and avoid taking over the call

• Apply industry-specific terminology in insurance, legal, and medical (general and forensic) contexts

• Ensure neutrality, objectivity, and professionalism in all interactions

✅ Requirements

• C1 level proficiency in Russian (oral and written) and English

• High School Diploma (mandatory); education in languages/translation/interpretation is an advantage

• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills

• Ability to explain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication

• Strong concentration, neutrality, and objectivity in conversations

• Reliable, autonomous, and highly disciplined with strong time management skills

• Ability to work with performance goals and remain confident under pressure

• Must be able to pick up company equipment from Lisbon, Porto, or Covilhã
