Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed civil and structural designs, drawings, and models for power generation facilities, including foundations, steel structures, and site infrastructure
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, environmental, and project management) to ensure integrated design solutions
  • Review and interpret engineering specifications, codes, and standards to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices
  • Perform site assessments and support constructability reviews to optimize design outcomes
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers, drafters, and engineering technicians
  • Oversee and check design work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements
  • Support project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining a high level of quality
  • Assist with resolving design issues during project development and construction phases
  • Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders as needed
  • Maintain documentation and ensure proper version control of design deliverables

Qualifications

Experience

  • Typically 5+ years of experience in Power Generation civil/structural design
  • Demonstrated experience with structural systems such as steel, concrete, and foundations
  • Experience coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D)
  • Strong knowledge of civil/structural design principles, codes, and standards
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Familiarity with power generation facilities required
