This is a remote position.

Are you passionate about nurturing the next generation of childcare professionals? Do you have a strong commitment to providing high-quality education? Train Alberta is seeking dedicated, experienced instructors to join our team and teach Early Childhood Education courses. Our programs are instructor-led, delivered virtually and are offered on two or three weekday evenings and on alternate Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in Early Childhood Education to students enrolled in our Certificate and Diploma programs.
  • Engage and support students in an interactive, virtual learning environment.
  • Facilitate discussions, answer questions, and provide timely feedback on assignments and exams.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student success.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a childcare setting.
  • University degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching in a virtual environment and using online learning platforms.
  • Early Childhood Education certification (Level 3 as recognized by the Alberta Government).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • If you do not meet all requirements, you may be considered for a Practicum Instructor opportunity
