Associate Software Engineer

Role Overview

We're looking for an Associate Software Engineer who knows Shopify well enough to challenge how we're using it. The role involves owning and evolving [link removed]'s Shopify integration, a critical platform connecting thousands of merchants directly to our ecosystem.

What You Will Do

You'll own the development and evolution of our Shopify integration, including Apps, Web Pixels and platform extensions. You'll build reliable, privacy-compliant solutions that accurately capture conversions, refunds and customer events while adapting to Shopify's evolving platform capabilities.

Requirements

• Built production Shopify Apps, integrations or platform extensions
• Understand the Shopify ecosystem beyond storefront development
• Experience building integrations between complex SaaS platforms
• Comfortable working with REST and GraphQL APIs, OAuth authentication, Webhooks, Rate limiting, Background processing, High-volume event pipelines
• Experience building and maintaining production backend services
• Ruby on Rails experience is preferred, but we're equally interested in experienced Shopify engineers who have worked with technologies such as [link removed], Python, PHP or Java and are excited to work with Rails
