Job Summary

The Podcast Manager will oversee the development, production, and distribution of podcast content for the company. This role requires a blend of technical skills in audio production and a creative mindset to develop engaging content that aligns with the company’s brand and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Content Development:
    • Develop and maintain a content calendar for podcast episodes.
    • Collaborate with marketing and content teams to ensure podcast themes align with broader company campaigns and goals.
    • Research and develop engaging topics that appeal to the target audience.
  2. Production Management:
    • Handle the logistics of podcast production including scheduling, recording, editing, and publishing episodes.
    • Coordinate with hosts, guests, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth episode execution.
    • Manage recording equipment setup, maintenance, and upgrades.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Oversee the editing and production of podcast episodes to ensure high audio quality.
    • Implement brand voice and standards in all podcast content.
    • Regularly review and optimize podcast content based on listener feedback and analytics.
  4. Distribution and Promotion:
    • Manage the distribution of podcasts across various platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Google Podcasts.
    • Develop promotional strategies to increase listenership, including social media marketing, email campaigns, and cross-promotions with other podcasts.
    • Monitor analytics to evaluate the performance of each episode and the overall podcast series.
  5. Team Collaboration and Leadership:
    • Lead and manage podcast production team members, including freelancers and external contractors.
    • Foster a collaborative environment and ensure all team members are aligned with the project's goals and deadlines.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in audio production, content creation, and digital media.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with audio editing software such as Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or similar.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SEO and social media marketing.
  • Background in storytelling or journalism.
  • Technical proficiency with sound engineering.
