Role Overview

As a Heavy Plant Operator, you will undertake the full range of end-to-end installation with the construction of Optical Fibre cable to meet customer expectations with limited supervision or direction. You will work within a team environment contributing to the delivery of a premium level of service to our customers by ensuring all work is undertaken in a timely and cost-effective manner, meeting set quality standards and customer commitments.

What You Will Do

Achieve faultless end-to-end construction of Optical Fibre cable, provisioning and maintenance of the customer access network and associated infrastructure through compliance to prescribed standards, practices and procedures, and to the full satisfaction of customers' expectations. Plan and undertake planned activities associated with infrastructure maintenance and upgrades, through compliance to prescribed standards, practices and procedures within given time lines.

Requirements

  • Heavy Plant knowledge and operating experience with Dozers, Excavators, Backhoe's
  • Ripping
  • Understanding/willing to learn Plough Dozer
  • Re-instating/clearing
  • Manual labour duties associated with Plough construction- Pit and Pipe Install, Rod and Roping, Marker Post Installation, Re-Establishing property owner infrastructure fences, irrigation, Cleaning and Greasing heavy machinery for daily operations
  • Truck Licence, HR-C (combination) essential
  • Maintain logbook for all truck driving duties required
