Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions using programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or tools such as Terraform, Ansible, SaltStack, Chef, or Puppet.
- Leverage SOLID principles to develop and enhance reusable frameworks, libraries, modules, scripts, templates, CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, scaling, and monitoring of cloud infrastructure using VMware Aria Suite or vCloud Director.
- Integrate via APIs between VMware products and various third-party systems and services.
- Work directly with customers during presales or delivery phase to understand customer needs and define proposals for efficient implementations.
- Lead and mentor development team including WBS definition, mentoring and reviewing peer’s contribution to ensure customer requirements, quality and best practices are met.
- Stay current with industry trends and lead internal initiatives in regards to optimizaitons and enhancements of current solutions, frameworks and processes.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in cloudintegration, customization and automation projects
- Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (VMware, AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code(IaC).
- Proficiency in scripting programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Bash, PowerShell) or OOPprogramming languages (C#, Java, NodeJS).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of networking including network fundamentals (like IP addressing, subnetting, and routing), network devices (such as routers, switches, and firewalls), network protocols (like TCP/IP, UDP, and DNS), and network security principles.
- Experience working and leading a development team in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in multi-national setting.
Preferred Qualifications (highly valued)
- 3+ in technical leading role
- Experience and/or certifications in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) platform and VMware product portfolio.
- Experience working with customers across the EMEA region.
- Experience in solution design definitions or adjustments.
