Role Overview

Welocalize is looking for an English (en-US) into Korean (ko-KR) linguist with experience in the field of Marketing, UI and Support related documents. This is an on-going freelance and remote position.

What You Will Do

Translate, copy-edit, and proofread English (en-US) to Korean (ko-KR) content, including support, marketing, UI, legal, informational, and online help content.

The ideal candidate will have native or near-native proficiency in Korean (ko-KR), excellent command of US English, and 3+ years of professional experience in translation with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.

Requirements

  • Native or near-native proficiency in Korean (ko-KR) with excellent command of US English
  • Proven experience editing, translating and proofreading English (en-US) to Korean (ko-KR) content
  • 3+ years of professional experience in translation with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field
  • OR 5+ years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree
  • Demonstrated experience translating informational, marketing, UI, online help, legal and support content
  • Experience using CAT tools
  • Strong understanding of marketing tone, brand voice, and customer-facing communication
  • Excellent attention to detail, terminological consistency, and linguistic accuracy
  • Ability to deliver high-quality translations while meeting deadlines
  • Flexible, reliable, and responsive in a fast-paced localization environment
  • Strong communication skills and openness to feedback and revisions
