  • Managing day-to-day accounting operations and handles full sets of accounts which cover General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Inventories and Fixed Assets

  • Prepares monthly consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow statements, as well as investor reporting

  • Utilising accounting software and financial tools (e.g., Netsuite, Excel) to streamline processes and maintain accurate financial records.

  • Conducting financial analysis and providing insights to management for improved financial performance and decision-making.

  • Work on monthly close schedules, as well as the monthly reconciliations

  • Monitoring and managing cash flow activities, maintaining cash disbursement/receipt controls and identifying cash flow issues

  • Implementing best practices in accounting processes and policies and identifying areas for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the accounting function.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as operations and other departments, to gather necessary information and ensure alignment on financial goals.

  • Coordinating with external auditors and supporting the annual audit process.

  • Undertaking additional tasks and projects as assigned by the FM to support company goals and objectives.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualification is preferred.

  • Proven experience (2-3 years) as an Accountant, preferably in a retail company environment.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and financial reporting.

  • Proficient in using accounting software and tools to manage financial data effectively.

  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges in a rapidly evolving startup environment.
