Role Overview

We're seeking a Visual Journalist / Editor who can take complex reporting, datasets, and investigations and transform them into compelling, high-impact visual narratives.

What You Will Do

Create visuals that support or lead stories, analyze datasets, write scripts for video and multimedia storytelling, and collaborate with reporters, editors, and designers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in visual journalism, editorial graphics, or data storytelling
• Strong editorial judgment and news instincts
• Proven ability to simplify complex information visually
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Flourish, Datawrapper, Infogram (or similar)
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven newsroom environment
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Awareness of current events, U.S. culture, and global news cycles
