Job description
Position Summary
The Financial Analyst supports financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities for the Employee Benefits business, including forecasting, budgeting, and monthly financial reporting. This role also provides business performance analytics, with a focus on tracking carrier book-of-business metrics and delivering insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support and participate in the monthly forecasting process, including revenue, expense, and performance projections
- Assist in the development and maintenance of annual budgets
- Perform variance analysis (actual vs. plan vs. prior year) and identify key drivers
- Prepare financial reporting for leadership review
Business Performance Analytics
- Track and maintain carrier book-of-business metrics including premium, revenue, wins/losses, and retention
- Develop reporting for carrier performance and pipeline analysis
- Identify trends supporting growth, profitability, and strategic insights
Reporting & Data Management
- Maintain recurring financial and operational reporting
- Aggregate data across systems to support analysis
- Support KPI, dashboard, and reporting development
Projects & Business Support
- Support cross-functional initiatives tied to financial and operational performance
- Assist with ad hoc analysis for strategic decision-making

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis or FP&A
- Advanced Excel skills required (financial modeling, pivot tables, and complex formulas), with strong analytical ability
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence and reporting tools is a plus
