Role Overview

The Construction Manager will be responsible for planning, supervision, and coordination to ensure safe and effective construction projects. The role will support start-up and commissioning activities and provide timely communication of construction project planning, reporting, schedules, status, issues, and potential misses or exceptions.

What You Will Do

Manage project construction resources, budgets, and schedules, administer construction engineering and design contracts, coordinate and manage installations, outages, and equipment start-ups, and prepare and organize project construction documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • 5 years of experience in project engineering, project management, construction management, or other equivalent experience
  • Ability to interface with contractors and all levels of the Kaiser organization
  • Software expertise: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, and MS Project
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Understanding of industrial construction drawings and practices
  • Plant production management in a Lean production system is preferred
  • Ability to operate a laser and understand equipment alignment is preferred
