Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or higher, and
- A current teaching certification in the subject area you are applying for AND be practicing or have two (2) or more years’ recent experience in the service role in a public school in the subject area you are applying for
- Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse)
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to maintain a confidential work environment
- Eligible to work in the United States
Overall Responsibilities
- Evaluate responses to test questions by Georgia teacher candidates
- Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in consensus scoring activities
- Recognize and discuss various types of bias (e.g., implicit bias, cultural bias, leniency bias, central tendency bias, halo effect) and effect strategies to reduce personal biases in scoring
- Meet quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program, including passing a qualifying test before scoring

Working Conditions
Scoring sessions take place during the week Monday through Friday. Scoring sessions will occur on five consecutive days every 8 weeks. The scoring day runs from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m., including training. 40 hours of work are available every 8 [link removed] takes place before scoring begins.
