Head of HR (APAC, Regional) | FinTech, Crypto, FS

For 7 years, the Group has been pioneering the future of global finance. The team of over 700 skilled professionals drives innovation across 9 countries, building the cutting-edge infrastructure that institutional and professional clients worldwide rely on. Powered by proprietary technology, its diverse portfolio of regulated financial institutions and fintechs specialize in multi-asset liquidity solutions, serving major global markets. The startup is looking for an experienced HR leader to cover Greater China / APAC and to help the company scale.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Global Head of HR and lead a team of 4-5 HR professionals.

  • Collaborate closely with the Global Head of HR to craft and execute HR strategies that support the company's rapid growth and evolving business goals.

  • Develop and implement tailored HR policies, procedures, and initiatives for the company’s offices in Greater China and 1-2 key Southeast Asian markets

  • Oversee the full talent lifecycle, from attracting and hiring top talent to designing effective performance management and employee development programs

  • Manage employee relations, address grievances, and foster a positive, engaging work culture to retain our best people

  • Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations across the region

  • Streamline HR operations, including payroll, benefits, and record-keeping

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the leadership team, providing data-driven HR insights and recommendations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field

  • 15+ years of HR experience, with a proven track record of building and scaling the HR function in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Hands-on experience developing HR strategies and programs from the ground up in a startup setting

  • Excellent understanding of labor laws and regulations across Greater China and/or APAC

  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and people leadership skills

  • Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin / Putonghua)
