The role

Job description

Looking for a hands-on associate to execute the day-to-day Shopify work that keeps our site running; Product builds, storefront assets management, collection management, and merchandising updates.

This is a junior role built for someone early in their ecommerce career who wants to learn how a

fast-moving DTC site gets built and managed day-to-day. A successful candidate will be the person

actually in Shopify admin every day, supporting the team, and escalating clearly when something needs deeper technical attention.

Core Responsibilities

● Own day-to-day product and storefront execution

○ Build products in Shopify: structural setup, tagging, image uploads, populate copy, manage

metafields

○ Manage collections: update, add or remove products, assets, metafields, and rules

○ Update storefront assets: banners, links, imagery, copy, navigation

○ Keep product data clean and consistent across the catalog (naming, tagging, image sizing)

○ Build and manage SOP documentation for site execution

● Execute merchandising changes accurately and on time

○ Apply markdowns and sale pricing updates

○ Follow merchandising directive

○ Support GWP, promotions, and bundle setup in Shopify as directed by team

○ Flag inventory or pricing inconsistencies

● Support QA on every site change

○ QA site; site pages, cart, and checkout. Daily, with particular focus on high traffic times and pages

○ Confirm links, assets, copy, and pricing display correctly across devices

○ Document and report bugs clearly, with steps to reproduce, so they can be prioritized

○ Build familiarity with how site changes connect to reporting and performance

○ Expected to develop increasing autonomy, through identification of department gaps and desired professional direction

○ Take initiative to identify, test, and flag opportunities for growth and process improvements.

Requirements

● Basic understanding of Shopify admin, relevant ecommerce coursework, or a relevant internship

● Comfortable learning new software quickly and navigating admin systems without hand-holding

● Highly detail-oriented and organized: this role lives and dies on accuracy

● Clear written communicator, especially when flagging issues or asking for help

● Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and the site changes often

● Curious and eager to learn the operational side of a DTC ecommerce business

Nice to Have

● Direct hands-on experience in Shopify admin (even personal or class projects)

● Basic familiarity with spreadsheets for tracking tasks or simple reporting

● Interest in growing toward more advanced merchandising or site operations responsibility

Reporting Structure

This role sits in the Digital Operations team, under the Associate eCommerce Manager, with a dotted line to the Sr. eCommerce Manager and Sr. Director, Digital Operations.
