Job Title: Senior AccountantPosition Summary:The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the organization’s accounting operations through accurate financial reporting, account reconciliations, revenue recognition, month-end close activities, and general ledger maintenance. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls while providing financial analysis and support to management.
Key Responsibilities:
- • Prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and support the month-end/year-end close process
• Prepare and record revenue journal entries in accordance with company policy and applicable accounting standards
• Analyze invoices and billing data to ensure accurate revenue recognition
• Collaborate with operations and billing teams to resolve revenue discrepancies
• Perform detailed expense reconciliations for corporate credit cards, employee reimbursements, prepaid expenses, and vendor accounts
• Develop and maintain Excel-based reports to analyze financial data and support month-end close and reporting processes
• Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
• Research cash application transactions
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on accounting procedures
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis as requested by management
Required Qualifications:
- • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA Candidate or CPA Eligible
• 5-8 years of corporate accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principle
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- NetSuite ERP experience preferred
- BILL experience preferred
